Time Required: Four months

Managing a team of 5 consultants, we studied the entire distribution operation for a major wholesaler in the sportswear industry. As a result of the study, the company reorganized the management structure of the DC, instituted an employee involvement program and began to automate much of the distribution operation.

Subject: Plan for new Distribution Center
Focus: DC operations
Time Required: Three months

Studied existing distribution center for safety equipment wholesaler for the purpose of planning improvements for a new facility that the company was building.

The study involved an analysis of the existing operation and how to replicate and enhance receiving, storage, inventory control, pick, pack and ship processes in the new facility.

A complete schematic for the new facility was presented to the client, illustrating the most cost efficient layout for input, throughput and output.

Studied existing distribution center for novelty wholesaler for the purpose of planning space requirements for a new facility that the company was building.

A complete cube utilization analysis and schematic for the new facility was presented to the client illustrating the most cost efficient layout for input, throughput and output.

As a result, of the study the company was able to build a smaller facility than originally planned, saving in excess of $1.1 million.

Focus: Cash flow analysis, expense structure, revenue generation
Time Required: Two months

Company was literally bleeding cash because of loose cash controls and unchecked spending. Set up expense and cash flow budget and taught owner and office manager how to monitor it.

Company saved $80,000 the first year the program was in place.


Subject: Loss Prevention
Focus: Analysis of purchase order - invoicing process for retail operation
Time Required: 2 months

Asked by the owner of the company to investigate suspicions concerning the actions of a key executive. After studying the purchase order and invoicing process of the company, we were able to establish a pattern that the executive was following. Suspect admitted to embezzling $65,000.


Subject: Business Turnaround
Focus: Analysis of financial performance for retail operation
Time Required: 14 months

Extensive study of cash flow, expense structure, revenue generation and inventory levels for company that had experiences losses in excess of $100,000 per year for three straight years. After setting up tracking programs and coaching the management staff on how to perform financial analysis, the company began to turn. The 2002 fiscal year delivered break-even results and F2003 showed profit.


Subject: ISO9001 Certification for specialty manufacturer
Focus: Senior Management
Time Required: 18 months

Through facilitation and follow-up, was able to bring a family owned specialty manufacturer from the planning stage to ISO9001 certification. Worked extensively with owner to create and execute realistic
