Deborah Gantos

Deborah Gantos received her undergraduate (B.A. Foreign Language Ed.) from Marietta College (Ohio) and her graduate degree (M.A. Guidance and Counseling) from The Ohio State University.

Deborah has had extensive work experience as an educator, licensed professional counselor and business consultant. She has developed and facilitated training seminars in such topics as effective communications, team building, conflict management, time management, leadership, supervisory skills, business writing skills, English as a second language and stress management. She has acted as a consultant to a variety of profit and non-profit organizations. She has consulted on such issues as job description design, policy deployment, staff training and development, recruitment and placement, organization behavior, facilitation of focus groups, and career counseling.

From 1984 thru 1988, Deborah was the Director of the Women’s Resource Center in Howell, MI. As Director, she oversaw all administrative responsibilities of the agency, which logged over 1,000 client contacts annually. Some of her accomplishments included: development of a bimonthly newsletter distributed to over 400 recipients, preperation and presentation of a budget proposal which tripled agency’s former grant, the development, coordination and facilitation of various seminars, and the presentation of workshops on substance abuse prevention and skills such as stress management, assertiveness training, reentry issues, and self-esteem.
